If you are an outdoor person and you are a diver, or want to learn to dive, then Dar Es Salaam, Zanzibar, Pemba and Mafia is the place to be. The water is never cold here in the Indian Ocean.
There are numerous dive centres around Dar Es Salaam and many more on Zanzibar. The visibility on a bad day is 8 - 10 metres and on a good day can be anything from 40 metres.
Of course the golden rule of diving is to never dive alone. If you dive alone you die alone.
Some people enjoy combining their sports. This chap combines diving with skydiving. There is nothing wrong with that.
